Optimarin were one of the first companies in the world to develop a system for environmentally friendly purification of ballast water. Today Optimarin Ballast System has become one of the most sold systems for environmental treatment of ballast water.
Optimarin are using the course Ex Installation and Maintenance (Ex Vedlikehold). Traditionally this course has been delivered as a three days classroom course, but now offered by ExTek as a one-day course with e-learning as pre-study and preparation.
The e-learning course from ExTek is very comprehensive and covers all the most important subjects says Jostein Stødle, Technical Engineer & Ex Product Responsible at Optimarin. The reduction from three days to one day in classroom gives dramatically cost savings. The one day at ExTek training Centre was also a very positive experience, with hands on training and interactive discussions. We at Optimarin will definitely continue to use blended learning to build competence and do training more efficiently.
ExTek together with Seagull Oil & Gas has the most cost efficient and comprehensive e-learning package in the industry, for personnel working in explosive atmospheres. All courses build on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards.
“We will continue to develop cost efficient solutions that improves the learning quality and availability,” says Gudveig Elin Undheim, Sales and Centre Manager at Extek. “We see blended learning as the new standard for efficient Ex training. We offer the most comprehensive e-learning available in the market and experience high demand for more efficient Ex training.
